My name is Vick Sarkis. I started lifting about four and a half years ago, and like a lot of people, I was immediately buried under advice: leg day Monday, arm day Tuesday, rest day Thursday, follow this program, track that macro. It made working out feel like a job before I'd even broken a sweat.
What I noticed is that those rules push a lot of people out. They set up a rigid structure, and the moment life doesn't fit the structure — an off week, a schedule that doesn't line up, a day where you just don't feel it — people feel like they've failed. And then they quit. Not because they don't want to be healthy. Because the rules made it overwhelming.
So I started training differently. Go to the gym. Do whatever I feel like doing. Go home. Some days that's a full session. Some days it's one or two things and then out the door. I've driven to the gym, sat in the parking lot, and driven home — and I still count that as a win, because I kept the routine alive. The most important thing is building a healthy habit, not executing a perfect program.
When I went looking for an app to track this kind of training, I couldn't find one that matched how I actually work out. Every tracker assumed I was following a structured program. They wanted me to set up routines in advance, check off pre-planned exercises, and fit my session into a template. I just wanted to log what I did and see whether I'm getting better over time.
So I built NaMiVisa. I started about two months ago. It's not a program. It's not a coach. It's a private journal that records what you actually did and surfaces useful patterns — your personal records, your volume trends, which muscles you've been hitting or neglecting, how your recovery is holding up. No templates, no scheduled days, no social feed telling you what other people lifted.
I didn't build this to get rich. I built it because I wanted it. If it helps someone else who trains the same way — great. If it doesn't fit you, that's completely fine too. Working out should feel like something you do for yourself, not a chore you have to do correctly. NaMiVisa is built around that idea.
